The drive to Banora Point
Banora Point spreads back from the Tweed River behind Barneys Point bridge, with Chambers Lookout above it. It has one of the largest retired populations in the shire, and several of the villages here we visit on a regular round.
Banora Point is 6.9 km from our base in Tweed Heads, about 11 minutes each way — roughly 22 minutes in the car before we have seen anybody. That is close enough that we can usually fit a visit in at short notice, often in the same week.
If you are near Chambers Lookout, Oxley Park or Jenner's Corner Park, you are inside the area we visit.
On the same run
Banora Point is grouped with Chinderah, Tweed Heads South and Fingal Head, so those visits sit on the same day. If someone else near you needs a visit as well, mention it when you ring and we will put you together on the one run.
