The drive to Cabarita Beach
Cabarita Beach sits under Norries Headland, with Maggies Beach on one side and Round Mountain behind. The headland walk is the best view on this stretch of coast, and it is also the reason so many people here are on their feet daily.
Cabarita Beach is 19.4 km from our base in Tweed Heads, about 21 minutes each way — roughly 42 minutes in the car before we have seen anybody. That is a manageable run, so we do it on set days rather than one visit at a time.
If you are near Round Mountain, Norries Headland or Norries Hill Park, you are inside the area we visit.
